SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) – The Coaches Caravan makes it’s way to Syracuse tomorrow. This will be the final stop across New York, being hosted at Heritage Hill Brewhouse. A fun night for the entire family is set to be put on Tuesday night.
Matthew Park, the voice of the Syracuse Orange will be on hand previewing the upcoming athletic season ahead. He’ll be joined by Lynn Farquhar, the head coach of the women’s field hockey team, as well as Bakeer ganesharatnam, the leader of the volleyball program, among others. Kimberly Rossi, the event manager for Syracuse University, also says that there will be three athletes on hand. Along with them, the cities favorite mascot, Otto the Orange will be in attendance. A question and answer session will be held with Matthew Park as well, where people attending can ask their own questions to be answered.
There will be giveaways at this event as well, Rossi mentions. Anybody that is registered for the event should check in when they get there to be entered into a raffle. There will be three winners chosen, and each winner will get two premium tickets to attend a Syracuse Orange athletic event.
Rossi is hoping for a big turnout in the final event for the Coaches Caravan. She says that in a previous stop to Rochester around 300 people showed up, smashing the expected turnout for that event.
There is going to be fun for all ages with yard games, extra large tic tac toe, footballs to throw around, playgrounds, fire pits, and even farm animals.
The event is set to go from 4:30-7:30 Tuesday night and is free to attend.
