Reporter: The Onondaga County Health Department says Jamesville Beach is now safe for people to swim in.
Earlier, the algae level of the water is too high.
But Oneida Shores remain closed due to high levels of E.Coli bacteria.
Oneida Shores Superintendent Gary Lopez says disappointed beach goers can take part in other activities.
Gary Lopez: “We have two big events this weekend. We have the national picnics on Thursday. We have the Tour de Cure Race for American diabetes on Sunday.”
Reporter: Boating at Oneida Shore is still available.
The health department will be testing the lake water every day until bacteria levels returns to acceptable standards.

By Yuhan Zhao SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News)—Oneida Shores Beach has just reopened for swimming. The Onondaga County Health Department announced that Oneida Shores is safe again for people to swim. Earlier, it was closed due to high levels of E.Coli bacteria. Daily tests show that water bacteria levels have returned to acceptable standards.
Oneida Shores Superintendent Gary Lopez says beach goers can always take part in more activities.
