Reporter: Target’s new drive-up service lets customers order on the Target app, drive up and have their order brought to their car. Syracuse resident, Elizabeth Young, says as a mother of two, she loves how fast and convenient the drive-up service is.

Elizabeth Young: It gives you the option to drive up or go in and pick up so I just pull right in and easy peasy!

Reporter: While some customers find it helpful, others like Tabatha Ososkalo, don’t plan on using it.

Tabatha Ososkalo: It’s another hassle for me because you have to figure out what you really need for the person to buy, and I’d rather just go to the store, get what I need.

By Sarah Al-Shaikh SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Target customers can now fill up their car…without even leaving their car. It’s been two weeks since Targets in Syracuse launched the drive-up service, where customers can order on the Target app, drive up and have their order brought to their car.

This new service is receiving mixed reviews, with some customers finding it helpful, and others finding it a hassle.

Syracuse resident Elizabeth Young is a fan of the new service. She says as a mother of two young children, she needs services that are fast and efficient.

“I love it! And I’ve got a sleeping child in the back so it’s perfect… I take full advantage of these, wherever it’s available,” said Young.

While Young finds it helpful because she’s able to run errands faster, Tabatha Ososkalo finds the service a hassle.

“It’s another hassle for me because you have to figure out what you really need for the person to buy, and I’d rather just go to the store, get what I need,” said Ososkalo.

Ososkalo doesn’t plan on using it, but she says the mom she babysits for, uses it all the time.

“I babysit for a mom and she tried it out,” Ososkalo said. “She seems to like it cause she’s busy.”

Syracuse Targets are not the first in the nation to provide the drive-up service. Target introduced the services in 2017, and Syracuse Targets are just now launching it.

Drive-up is now offered at 1,550 Targets nationwide, and four of those are in Syracuse.
