Bull: A one-day Women’s mini fair at the Chevy Court Pavilion featured women’s advocacy groups from across Central New York. It urged women to appreciate the progress in the hundred years since they gained the right to vote.
Interviewee: It’s important because 100 years ago we were not allowed to vote. 100 years ago we were property. 100 years ago we weren’t allowed to think and voice our thoughts and now we’re exploring the power behind women.
Bull: The women involved also hope to get the message across to young girls to acknowledge the past but not to stop striving for change.
Interviewee: And that’s why it’s important for us to be here on women’s day to celebrate all our accomplishments and make sure that young women like yourself remember the fight, the struggle and the power it took for you to do this interview.
