SYRACUSE, N.Y. — A fraternity on Syracuse University’s campus has been suspended following a racially biased act committed by members this past weekend.
The Alpha Chi Rho fraternity was suspended by the university on Sunday after an alleged verbal attack of a black woman on College Place that took place on Saturday night. According to the report by SU’s Department of Public Safety (DPS), members of the fraternity used racial slurs targeted at the woman.
The #NotAgainSU campaign continues on campus. The sit-in at the Barnes Center at the Arch has officially surpassed 120 hours. The participants have asked University Chancellor Kent Syverud to address hem at Hendricks Chapel on Wednesday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m.
