“Impeachment Inquiry against President Trump”– this headline was a big topic in the US media in the last weeks. But not only in the U.S. If you would have bought a German newspaper you may also found on the front page headlines like: “Donald Trump’s Amtsenthebung” (the English translation is Donald Trumps impeachment).

The President of the United States got a lot of publicity in the last years. But since the election in 2016, German newspapers, radio and TV stations didn’t write and talk that much about him. What do German citizens think about one of the most powerful persons in the world after all this media hype?

Julia Mahl, NCC international correspondent, went to the Stuttgart Media University and asked the students about their opinion of Trump and the impeachment.

GERMANS SEEM TO LOVE MAKING FUN OF DONALD TRUMP.
WHAT COULD BE A REASON FOR THIS? SONJA LINGG, ALSO A MEDIA STUDENT FROM STUTTGART, HAS A GUESS.

ESPECIALLY REGARDING THE IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY, LINGG GOT ANOTHER ASPECT WHICH REFLECTS BADLY ON THE PRESIDENT.

PEOPLE SAY: BAD PRESS IS BETTER THAN NO PRESS.
BUT THIS MAY NOT APPLY TO THE U-S PRESIDENT.
