Syracuse Celebrates the 34TH Annual Festival of Trees FESTIVAL OF TREES

A Holiday Special at the Everson Museum of Art

For 34 years, the Everson Museum of Art has brought the holiday spirit to Syracuse by showcasing community artwork. The museum’s annual Festival of Trees celebrates the holidays with displays of Christmas trees, reefs and other decorative holiday artwork.

Accompanied by holiday music and live dance performances, festival attendee Cole Richards can’t think of a better way to celebrate the holidays,

“I mean it feels like a winter wonderland in here. The trees, the lights, the music; this is what Christmas is all about.”

Over 100 Christmas displays deck the halls of the museum, bringing art and Christmas together.  Richards recognizes this incorporation of art into Christmas and says it’s the perfect embodiment of the holiday spirit.

“I think Christmas allows you to be creative in so many ways, like you’re using this creative aspect with the power of art and I think it’s what makes this festival so special.”

The festival started on Dec. 5 and will continue until Dec. 15. Over a thousand people have signed up and are taking part in the tree-filled holiday experience.
