SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – A bar is normally loud, filled with people and a place to have a good time. On certain occasions, that rather loud place is turned into a soothing place where you can exercise before enjoying a refreshing beverage.
It is called brew-ga. You can enjoy some stretching before doing some sipping.
“It is through Fhit-Yoga, That is where you sign up. We just house the class and you get free beer,” Bar Manager Matt Bartelson said.
The Hops Spot is located in Armory Square.
Bartelson says major weekends with big sporting events are the perfect opportunity to appeal to everyone.
“When something like that happens like the Syracuse Duke game and the Super Bowl, people are more apt to go out,” Bartelson said. “There is an energy around that really helps stuff like that, it really is a good way to get your day started.”
Bartelson says brew-ga takes place every five-to-six weeks.
So even if you missed it this week, there is still plenty of more times to grab your mats, and listen to soothing music before enjoying a tasty beverage.
Fhit-Yoga offers a vast array of classes for everyone to enjoy. They host 30 minute or one hour classes. For a full list of class options and their class schedule, click here.
The next class at the Hops Spot has not been scheduled yet. Check back to their events page to see the latest events.
