Julia Roberts visit to Upstate New York will happen this upcoming spring to receive an award in Rochester. The George Eastman Museum is presenting Julia Roberts with the George Eastman Award for her distinguished contribution to the art of cinema.
The ceremony will be held at the Dryden Theatre on Thursday, May 2, 2019, and tickets for the event will go on sale March 18 at 10 a.m.
Patron tickets will sell for $300, supporter tickets for $150, and friend tickets for $125.
Other notable recipients of the award include Michael Keaton, Meryl Streep, Martin Scorsese, Audrey Hepburn. A full list of previous recipients can be found on the George Eastman Museum Website.
Robert’s successful career in film has been marked by multiple industry awards, an Academy Award for Best Actress in Erin Brockovich, a Golden Globe for Best Actress- Motion Picture Musical or Comedy in Pretty Women, a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture in Steel Magnolias, and various others.
