SYRACUSE, N.Y.(NCC News)- There will be a lot of pink in Downtown Syracuse and not for the hit movie Barbie. A new musical will take the stage at Landmark Theatre this September.
On Wednesday morning, tickets for Mean Girls will go on sale at the Landmark Theatre box office and online.
The musical will be a hit, according to Promoter for Broadway in Syracuse, Ashley Yacobush.
“So it’s a show that’s full of energy,” she said. “Plenty of humor you know, is a very popular show that everyone loves.”
The movie Mean Girls, has been popular since its release in 2004. The musical will bring new life to the story, according to Yacobush.
“So there are things in the show that you didn’t see in the movie,” she said. “Experiencing that in person and on stage, there’s nothing like live theatre.”
Yacobush said to buy tickets sooner than later, as they are expected to sell out fast.
The musical will run for four days at the end of September.
