SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — While CNY awaits the return of the New York State Fair this Summer, the fairgrounds will planning to transform their current Food Fest event into an all-out carnival this week.
Joining the many food options will be various rides and games supplied by Solvay-based Main Events Amusements, all of which has been approved by state and county health departments.
The rides confirmed to be making an appearance so far are the Giant Slide, The Scrambler and a children’s roller coaster.
Also included in the expanding festivities is a drive-in movie night Saturday, with an 8:30 p.m. showing of “The Sandlot.” All proceeds from the screening will go toward Road2RecoveryCNY, which provides resources to those affected by opioid addiction.
The Food Fest will run from Friday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
