(Richter) The excitement is here. Broadway is set to come back to Syracuse beginning next week as Annie comes to town right here at The Landmark Theater. And then there’s a full slate of Broadway shows such as Come From Away and Dear Evan Hansen set to take the stage over the next year.

(Cast of Annie) It’s a hard knock life for us. It’s the hard knock life for us.

(Richter) The Musical Sensation, Annie Doesn’t just mark the restart of the theater season here in Syracuse. It also marks the first stop on a nationwide tour for Annie. Actress Krista Curry will be playing Lily St. Regis in the production. And she could not be more excited for opening night.

(Lily) This is the nicest group of people you will ever find. And everyone seems to mesh really well and this group of children that they got is amazing. Like this group of kids is all like 11 going on 35 and they’re all amazing.
(Richter) Annie’s opening night is set for next Tuesday with performances set to run every day at the Landmark through Saturday. With two performances scheduled for closing day. I sat down with The executive director of the Landmark Theater Mike Intaglietta.

(Mike) It’s been a recent tradition for us for our season to kickoff with a Broadway tech like this. So we’ve been obviously anticipating this for most of the summer when we’re usually a little bit slow. It’s great to have a show like this. This show brings a very particular energy.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – The Landmark Theatre kicks off their Broadway season with Annie. Annie begins their National Tour next Tuesday with performances through Saturday at the Landmark. NCC News spoke with the Executive Director of The Landmark Theatre, Mike Intaglietta. Intaglietta said ticket sales are going strong and he’s excited to start the season.

“It’s been a recent tradition for us for our season to kick off with a Broadway tech like this. So, we’ve been obviously anticipating this for most of the summer when we’re usually a little bit slow. It’s great to have a show like this. This show brings a very particular energy,” said Intaglietta.

Actress Krista Curry is playing Lily St. Regis in the upcoming tour, and she cannot wait for opening night.
