Allison Weiss: This is your N-C-C Newsbrief, its February 20th. I’m Allison Weiss.The Not Again S-U protests continued today on the campus of Syracuse University. However, students are now free from Crouse-Hinds Hall. The doors of the building were finally opened this morning. Syracuse Chancellor Kent Syverud announced this change last night.Governor Andrew Cuomo launched an outreach and education campaign alongside the plastic bag ban. Store manager of J. Michael’s James Hicks says he has not been educated on the procedure local businesses need to follow.

James Hicks: I hope everything works out, but it is a question of what to do with the extra plastic bags.

Allison Weiss: The statewide ban will begin on March 1.Tomorrow the sun will shine as temperatures top out at 30 degrees and remain steady until the evening. If you’re waiting for warmer weather, you won’t have to wait much longer. On Sunday, temperatures will reach 46 degrees to close out the weekend on a sunny day.
