AND THE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES OFFICIALLY SIGNED TYUS BATTLE TO A CONTRACT YESTERDAY. BATTLE PLAYED FOR THREE SEASONS AT SYRACUSE, AND HE PLAYED FOR THE WOLVES IN THE NBA SUMMER LEAGUE. BATTLE AVERAGED 16 POINTS, TWO POINT EIGHT REBOUNDS, AND TWO POINT ONE ASSISTS DURING HIS CAREER AT SU. AND IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL, THE WASHINGTON NATIONALS HAVE A CHANCE TO ADVANCE TO THEIR FIRST WORLD SERIES IN FRANCHISE HISTORY WITH A WIN TONIGHT AGAINST THE SAINT LOUIS CARDINALS.
