Here’s the latest national and international news from NCC News. I’m Rachel Pierce. 

The 2020 Olympics are postponed until next year due to COVID-19. The decision was made earlier this morning by Japan’s Prime Minister and the International Olympic Committee. 
President Trump plans to open businesses in the next few weeks despite the message from health officials. According to Dr.Imran Ali, 

“Basic epidemiology says right now we are not at the level where we can safely re-remove all the restrictions social distancing” 

After days of arguing in the Senate,

“I object. Oh, come on! This.. This is unbelievable”

Americans can expect a deal today. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he hopes to see a vote some point today. The two trillion dollar deal aims to ease the economic damage from the coronavirus pandemic.
