Augusta, Maine (NCC News) — People across Northern New England were welcomed with quite a bit of snow when they woke up Monday morning. Certain areas of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont are covered with almost a foot of snow.
The snowfall has been described as heavy and wet. Most across the area have nearly 12 inches of snow. Greensboro, Vermont and Rangeley, Maine both have more than a foot on the ground.
The storm is leading to a lot of classic winter inconveniences. After last night 36,000 northern new Englanders have been left without power. Additionally many roads in the are were covered in snow for the morning commute.
Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are posted for a lot of Maine and New Hampshire. Additionally very northern parts of New York and the Green mountains of Vermont are under advisory.
