LOS ANGELES, CA  (NCC NEWS)-Productions have finally restarted In California because, in March, the pandemic shut down most of Hollywood. The closures and stopping of television and film studios left many workers wondering when work would come back. Loren Corl has worked as a key grip for 38-years and has worked on films like Independence Day, Planet of The Apes, The Fast and Furious, and most recently Ad-Astra.

Corl is working again after a three-month shutdown in the Industry. Corl has not worked on any movies recently, but instead he has working on commercials he has done three in the last month.

“I think commercials are the ones that are sort of like leading the pathway,” Corl said. “It’s such a smaller crew size, versus TV or the features out there.”

Corl said keeping everyone healthy is a priority of the productions. They have provided tests, masks, and a person who makes sure social distancing rules are being followed.

“Stay as safe as possible so far it seems to be working, so I am not really that concerned over it,” Corl said.“We’re praying that as more time goes on, more and more commercials happen.”

Corl said that he believes that everything will eventually go away and everything will return back to normal. He said that he hopes it is sooner rather than later but still believes they are a couple of months away from certain reopenings. Despite all these setbacks, California always tries to keep work, and the cameras rolling.
