SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – Overnight Thursday rain has swept through Central New York, with conditions expected to gradually dry out as the day progresses towards evening.
However, lingering light rain and sprinkles from the trailing frontal system are forecasted to hinder sunlight, resulting in temperatures struggling to climb beyond the low 50s.
As night falls, complete drying is anticipated, with temperatures dropping to the low 40s. Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, mornings are expected to be dry, followed by rainy afternoons as multiple distinct rain systems pass through the region.
Following Saturday’s rainfall, Sunday is predicted to see partial clearing, though stubborn clouds may persist. Increased sunshine is forecasted for Earth Day on Monday, with dry conditions persisting until Wednesday.
