CNY Beer Week Creates Opportunity for Local Restaurants CNY Beer Week Creates Opportunity For Local Restaurants

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Beer Belly Deli & Pub and Riley’s are two of 10 Syracuse restaurants and breweries that participated in CNY Beer Week on Wednesday.

Beer Belly hosted ‘Buried Acorn Wednesday,’ an event in which two Buried Acorn Brewing Company beers were featured.

“Our customers are used to certain beers on the menu. So, in order to kinda open them up and give them a new – a chance to try some of the local beers, this is like the perfect week to do that,” said Taylor Wollman, co-owner and manager of Beer Belly.

Beer Belly hosts five different breweries this week to test out different beers.

“I’m gonna be talking to everybody. Asking them if they like the beer. Seeing what they like the most. I’ll be looking at what sales does the best and I’ll compare it to our other beers we have on tap,” said Wollman.

Riley’s restaurant also participated today, with a ‘Sips & Nibbles’ event that featured beer from Middle Ages Brewing Company. Terry Riley, owner of Riley’s, likes participating in CNY Beer Week with this annual event.

“It’s good publicity for us you know. Sometimes guys are up there who’ve never been here before,” said Riley.

CNY Beer Week continues through Nov. 10.
