Common Council Returns Amid Controversy Common Council Returns Amid Controversy

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Common Council returned to office on Monday with a fair share of controversy on its plate.

The last time the Common Council was in session, councilman Steven Thompson proposed a plan to reduce the power given to the Citizens Review Board. The law would deem the CRB’s findings in court cases inadmissable.

There is no word on if the Council plans to revisit the decision in the future.
