A Flavorful Celebration Supporting Fundraisers

Patrick Smith: This upcoming Saturday, Syracuse’s Inner Harbor is set to host an enticing Taco and Margarita festival. The event is supporting La Casita Cultural Center, a Syracuse University initiative that promotes community involvement through research, arts and heritage. One Syracuse resident, Kailyn Jennings believes that fundraising events have become an important subject of conversation in Syracuse.

Kailyn Jennings: I think that the local businesses and organizations by supporting organizations like that, especially non-profit organizations they’re giving back to the community which is only gonna strengthen Syracuse.

Smith: Also residing in Syracuse, Kyle Butler says it’s really important to have fundraisers in the Syracuse community.

Kyle Butler: I think it’s important because for the city it brings more attention, and is good for the city.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — The Inner Harbor located in Syracuse is gearing up to host an enticing Taco and Margarita Festival.

Scheduled for this upcoming Saturday, the festival holds a noble cause as it supports the La Casita Cultural Center, a Syracuse University program that actively promotes civic engagement through its emphasis on research, arts, and heritage.

When it comes to the event’s significance, a Syracuse resident points out that conversations revolving around fundraisers in the local community have gained notable importance.

“I think that the local businesses and organizations by supporting organizations like that especially non-profit organizations they’re giving back to the community which is only gonna strengthen Syracuse,” said Kailyn Jennings.

A local from Syracuse, Kyle Butler highlighted the importance of community fundraisers, including the Taco and Margarita Festival. He believes that these fundraisers are really valuable for the Syracuse community.

“I think it’s important because for the city it brings more attention, and is good for the city,” said Butler.

The event is set to feature a lineup of 18 different taco vendors, along with an array of craft beers, wine slushies, and an assortment of flavored margaritas.
