Syracuse, N.Y. (NCC News)– Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that the 2021 New York State Fair will be increased to 100 percent capacity. Popular buildings will also reopen with additional vendors added. Indoor spaces will adhere to the states evolving health guidelines by limiting capacity to allow social distancing.
Under the new State Fair Model, New Yorkers will be able to enjoy the live music, entertainment, amusement rides, agriculture education and awareness, as well as food and drink. This also includes the fair’s most iconic culinary experiences, Pizze Fritte.
The fair will run for 18 days from Aug. 20 to Sept. 6, which is the longest duration ever for the annual event and admission price will be lower. Tickets to the fair will be $3, with children under 12 will be admitted for free. Attendees will be required to follow COVID-19 health guidance from the state Department of Health that is in effect at the time of the event.
