Dana Balter to visit Syracuse University Balter to visit Syracuse University

By CJ Santosuosso SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – With Election Day two weeks away, the finish line is in sight for John Kakto and Dana Balter, but that doesn’t mean the work is done for either candidate in this close race.

Dana Balter, the Democrat challenging Katko, has been invited by the Syracuse University College Democrats to speak at a forum at the university tomorrow night at 7:30.

Balter, who is an SU professor, is expected to talk about many issues, including healthcare, the economy and the environment.

Erin Mooney, a junior who works for the Balter campaign says that it is important for students to come out and see what Balter has to say.

“This is important because some of her constituents are on campus and if students are interested in who’s on the ballet and who’s representing their interests, then this is their chance to learn about it,” said Mooney.

Mooney works with around 70 other students on the campaign, who represent many different colleges in the area.

Balter will be speaking at SU one night before her first scheduled debate is supposed to take place with Katko, the two term Republican incumbent.

The two have agreed to do a total of four debates before Election Day.
