DEWITT, N.Y. (NCC News) — Four people in a stolen Kia burglarized a smoke shop in DeWitt on Friday according to authorities. Tom Newton, a spokesperson for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, said that sheriff’s deputies responded to Zonen around 2:45 a.m. on Old Collamer Road.

Newton said that four people in a stolen Kia had smashed the front window and drove off. Deputies followed them towards Kinne Street. At that point, the people in the car got out of the vehicle and ran into the woods, where Newton said the deputies lost track of them. An investigation is still ongoing.

This is not the first time this has happened to Zonen, as it was burglarized last year and in 2020.
