SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, a staple barbeque and brisket restaurant that started in central New York, celebrated its 35th anniversary on Sunday. To ring in the occasion, the restaurant on West Willow Street in downtown Syracuse threw a party.
In an affair that lasted all afternoon, guests who bought tickets could eat the barbeque, brisket, ribs, fries and all other menu items from Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.
“Dinosaur Bar-B-Que is a part of Syracuse,” Director of Marketing at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que Michelle Buckingham said. “It’s an iconic place here in Syracuse.”
Money from the tickets and food bills were donated by the restaurant to the Food Bank of Central New York.
“We like to be as big a part of the community as they are to us,” Buckingham said.
