LAILA ROGERS, N-C-C News.

SYRACUSE N.Y.(NCC NEWS)- A new establishment, Fayette’s Soft Serve Cafe, has recently been introduced to Central New York. Friday August 2nd was the grand opening of a new and exciting sweet twist.

Fayette’s Soft Serve Cafe was previously known as Sweet Frog, and has now been introduced with a new name and management team. Owner Alexis Macrides was once a worker at the previously named establishment, and realized she wanted to change things up with new, exciting, and community based elements.

On the grand opening day, Macride was very pleased and happy with the big turnout her cafe received.

“It was so much fun, we had a bunch of employees in here, morale was high, it was really neat to see a bunch familiar faces come and go, so we had a lot of family members and a lot new members of the community pop in and out, it was a good turn out,” said Macride.

There aren’t many cafe places in Syracuse that offer milkshakes, custard, coffee, ice cream, a variety of toppings, and locally sourced items. Macrides takes pride in bringing locals together, and offering working opportunities to other businesses in her community.

“I just want everyone to know that we’ve expanded our menu, we’re sourcing everything locally, so we got some nice locally sourced ice cream, custard, and yogurt, and we got the locally sourced baked goods and coffee. So we’re really trying to bring in the community and the local aspect,” said Macride.

Macrides is very excited to continue sharing her love for sweets with locals in the Central New York Area.
