House Democrats Push Back Vote on Resolution Against Antisemitism House Democrats push back vote on resolution against anti-Semitism

By Saniya More WASHINGTON, D.C. (NCC News) – House Democratic leaders have postponed voting on a resolution that condemns antisemitism.

This comes after stiff opposition from lawmakers who said Representative Ilhan Omar, whose comments led to the drafting of the resolution, was being unfairly targeted.

The freshman Minnesota representative made comments last week that received backlash and were deemed antisemitic from members on both sides of the house.

Despite this, various left-leaning activists and journalists have come to Omar’s defense, especially by using the hashtag #IStandWithIlhan.
