GLENVIEW, Ill. (NCC News) – Macushla Brewing Company has quickly become a local favorite.
Opening back in 2015, the microbrewery is linked to Hackney’s Restaurant.
Throughout the whole pandemic, the brewery had the safety precautions and customer traffic to stay open.
Following state and city guidelines, the business was able to host outdoor seating. Even when the weather started to turn, they answered back with outdoor space heaters and tents.
Supporting local businesses has always been important, now with the current state during the pandemic, people find it even more important.
“You see people you know, there’s regulars. If you’re committed and want to support the businesses, then it (state guidelines) is not a hassle,” said Macushla customer, Alana Swaringen.
The owners and workers of Macushla are taking the pandemic and different changes day by day.
Just yesterday, they stopped providing indoor seating at all as Chicago is headed towards another stay at home order.
Despite all of this, customers were still coming in and the traffic was nonstop.
“We are lucky to have someone who welcomes us and is concerned for our safety,” said Swaringen.
