SYRACUSE N.Y.– Jim and Juli Boeheim marked the beginning of the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign.

The Syracuse Basketball head coach and his wife rang bells for about 30 minutes outside of Dick’s Sporting Goods at Destiny USA on Monday. Juli is the chair of the Red Kettle campaign.

“Really every body benefits from the Salvation Army and their work,” Jim Boeheim said. “It’s been tremendous all over the country, but especially here in Syracuse.”

Salvation Army’s goal for this season’s campaign is to raise 250,000 dollars. The organization says that the money is used to help fund programs that impact tens thousands of people across Upstate New York.
