SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Tuesday is the last day to apply for an absentee ballot by fax, by email, and online.
Voters will still be able to apply for a ballot in person at the board of elections through November 2nd.
So far there have been 65,000 ballots issued in Onondaga County, and 38,000 have already been returned. According to the Board of Elections the figure by election day will far surpass the previous record for absentee voting. A total of 17.7% of voters already voted and 16,561 voted in-person early.
This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment in the United States which gave women the right to vote.
