Local Marijuana Shop Aiming to Open in Dewitt Local Marijuana Shop Set to Open in Dewitt

Loud Pack LLC aims to navigates New York's strict cannabis landscape.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) – As marijuana dispensaries face increased scrutiny and closures across the state of New York, one company is determined to bring safe and quality weed to consumers.

Loud Pack LLC, led by local dispensary owner Jonathan Maxim, is set to open its doors in mid-December, located next to the old Shopping Town Mall in Dewitt.

Opening a dispensary in New York is no small feat, requiring a long and extensive regulatory process. Jonathan Maxim acknowledges the necessity of this thorough procedure, to guarantee the delivery of high-quality weed to consumers.

“Kudos to New York state for this, they don’t want a marijuana dispensary on every corner. The local laws and state laws are kind of working together so they’re spacing it out evenly, so everybody has their own little area,” Maxim said.

Of other concern in the cannabis industry is the quality and safety of the products being sold. General Manager Jason Shifflet of Loud Pack LLC highlights the role of the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) in maintaining the safe export of weed to consumers.

“OCM enforcement is doing their job in shutting these illegal shops down where this pot’s not tested and could be harmful. I think they’re rolling out laws and certain things to protect the public as things progress,” Shifflet said.

As New York continues to evolve its cannabis regulations, Loud Pack LLC aims to provide a secure and effective means for consumers to access quality weed.

Although the process for opening a dispensary in New York is long and extensive, local dispensary owner Jonathan Maxim (MAX-EEM) believes it is necessary to ensure quality weed is delivered to the consumer.
