Miracle Network Dance Marathon Fundraises on Child Health Day

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – A Syracuse University organization begins one of its largest fundraising campaigns for Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital on National Child Health Day.

The organization called OttoTHON, kicks off its Miracle Week 2021. During Miracle Week the organization holds a new event to raise funds for the children at the hospital each day. The week ends with “Miracle Madness,” a bracket basketball tournament in which each participant pays to enter the tournament. At 10 p.m. Monday, OttoTHON revealed how much they have raised so far.

Over the years OttoTHON has raised over a quarter million dollars for the local hospital. This year marks the organization’s sixth year on the campus of Syracuse.

OttoTHON is affiliated with Miracle Network Dance Marathon, a student led, international program raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. All money raised goes towards local hospitals to fund the multiple expense of healthcare services.

Thousands of Miracle Network Dance Marathon participants and community members united to fundraise for local kids on Child Health Day.

The first Monday of every October is National Child Health Day. Child Health Day is dedicated to honoring children’s health, families, and those who assist them.
