By Gabrielle Cajas SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – An 87-year-old man involved in a three-vehicle crash with an Oswego County DOT snowplow last week has died.

Bert Hyland was driving along route 49 in West Monroe when he lost control and hit the plow. He was thrown out of his car and found under a guide rail. His car then hit another vehicle, which was traveling eastbound behind the plow.

Tresia M. Easterly, 50, of Cleveland was driving the other car and was taken to Crouse Hospital with minor injuries.

Hyland was transported to Upstate Medical University Hospital for internal injuries. According to state police, Hyland was originally listed under stable conditions, but on Tuesday he succumbed to his injuries.
