These sounds of outrage fill a buffalo courtroom today at the sentencing hearing of Buffalo Mass Shooter Payton Gen-dron – after one family member charged after Gen-dron. The 19 year old gunman is responsible for killing 10 people at a Tops in Buffalo this past May and is being sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.. Gen-dron has pleaded guilty to 15 charges including murder and attempted murder… He is the first person in state history to be charged with domestic terrorism motivated by hate…

N-I-L is becoming bigger and bigger and Syracuse is one of the schools leading the charge… In fact, today on campus basketball player Joe Girard is giving out free hot chocolate as a part of his N-I-L deal with Dunkin Donuts.. Walker and I had to get in on the free beverages so… we walked over to the local Dunkin to pick up Gerard’s go-to order.. A medium hot chocolate.

And on that walk over to Dunkin no jackets needed (I wore sunglasses) we’re enjoying some record warmth here in Syracuse it’s currently 64 degrees outside and students on campus are happy to see the unusual warmth…And don’t just take our word for it our very own NCC weather correspondent Hannah Ferrara joins us now..

Well I think the groundhog definently lied to us when he gave us his prediction a few weeks ago. There has not seemed to be six more weeks of winter in fact today has been the warmest it has been on this day since 1954. Today’s highs are 64 degrees which is crazy mid February, but don’t get used to it too long. We are going to be seeing a cold front come in on Friday heading into this weekend. So, you know, whip out your sunglasses today nut unfortunately you are going to be having to put them back away soon.

Thank you Hannah. The warmer weather comes just in time to get your flies tied and spinner-baits ready… This weekend is the first of the season for New York States Free Freshwater Fishing Days…. Governor Kathy Hochul said free fishing days offer established anglers an opportunity to share their passion for fishing with those who may be newer to the sport… The freshwater fishing season starts April first… You can go to your local Walmart or official licensing agent to purchase one, or online through the DEC website.

And speaking of sports without water but still making splashes was Syracuse basketball last night and their win against 23rd ranked NC State, definitely a close one Anthony 75 to 72 … what a win for Cuse.

Yeah definitely something they needed. Jesse Edwards had 18 points, 16 rebounds, attempting and making his first ever three pointer, that sent the crowd into a big frenzy last night.
Yea Jesse Edwards was unstoppable. Joe Girard and Juda Mintz 20 points, really everyone showed out at the dome
