New York City has postponed or cancelled numerous events and parades in the month of June over fears of spreading COVID-19. Mayor Bill De Blasio says it’s quote painful but necessary. This comes as the state finally begins to see a plateau in deaths.

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced he plans to reopen the state. The announcement drew criticism from Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, saying that the risk is too great to open up.

“Until we can broadly test everyone who I believe has been in contact with someone who tested positive, or has reason to believe that they have been exposed, I think that we will all be at risk.”

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un’s health has been the center of speculation, with many outlets reporting he is in quote grave condition. But A-B-C’s Martha Raddatz says South Korean officials have seen nothing suspicious.

“South Korean officials quickly disputed those reports, saying that have seen no confirmation of those reports nor have they seen any unusual activity in North Korea. ”
