New York Extends Takeout Alcohol Measures Takeout Alcohol Measures Extended in New York

ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. (NCC News) – New York State has officially extended takeout alcohol services for restaurants and bars until April 6.

The measure was previously set to expire last Sunday.

The original executive order was passed last March, intending to help small businesses with struggling revenue flow in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The measure has been renewed on a near-monthly basis by the state up until this point. But many local businesses and lawmakers have been calling for a more long-term extension.

This comes alongside recent calls for the state to expand the 11 p.m. curfew for local bars and restaurants.
