SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) –  Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications is co-hosting a debate with Syracuse.com on Tuesday night for two Democratic candidates for Congress.

The event will start at 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on Syracuse.com and their Facebook page with editor Chris Baker as the moderator.

DeWitt town Councilor Sarah Klee Hood will be facing off against state Sen. John Mannion, D-Geddes. They will spend one hour debating as they race against each in the upcoming 22nd Congressional District primary.

The 22nd Congressional District includes all of Onondaga and Madison counties as well as portions of Cayuga, Cortland and Oneida counties. Primary day with in-person voting is on June 25, but early voting will begin June 15 and end June 23.

The candidates will not be provided questions or topics in advance. Only the candidates and their representatives will be allowed to attend the live event.
