 REPORTER: Breanna might’ve had a hard time, deciding on what she wanted from the menu but she didn’t have a hard time deciding on what cat caught her eye


BREANNA: 
”I really liked Clara Bell she’s a-little bit.. not a Kitten, she’s almost two years old ”

REPORTER: Breanna and her sister, Ciarra, have had cats since they were younger but two recently passed away



BREANNA: “The one cat thats left she’s kind of like a loner, she just likes to be alone so it’s nice to actually play with kittens ”


CIARRA: “Yeah like the cats here remind me of our old cats it’s just, it’s a good reminder ”



REPORTER: 
Although the cafe allows for customers to come in, grab a cup of hot chocolate, and spend some time with the cats.. the main goal is to find these cats a stable home.. but for now this is there home

ALISHA: “Yeah, they stay here until they get adopted ”

REPORTER: But for Alisha it can be bittersweet to say goodbye 


ALISHA: “This is Meatball and Ollie my first two residents , I miss them .. they were so good

”

REPORTER: She’s had 10 adoptions but another..



BREANNA: “Is there an adoption pending on Clara

”

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) – This local cat cafe is still in its soft opening phase, but that hasn’t stopped the community from taking a cat home.

Pawsitivitea CNY Café and Cat lounge is the only place in Syracuse where you can purchase a treat, hang out with some furry friends, and help them get a home.

I f  only mask weren’t the new normal, you could smell the cafes  aroma of  the owner preparing freshly baked goods.

Cafe and cat lounge owner, Alisha Reynolds, sad they’ve had about 16 cats since they’ve opened.

” We’ve had 10 adoptions,” Reynolds said.

Reynolds partners with Wayward Paws, a cat rescue and rehabilitation center that helps homeless cats in the Syracuse area.

Reynolds said she is not picky when it comes to the cats.

“All cats need love,” Reynolds said.

At the cat cafe you can book an appointment or just come as a walk-in.

” The weekends is when everybody and they cousins come;” Reynolds said.

One of those weekday walk-ins were sisters Breanna and Ciarra Martinez.
