SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS) –– The wait is finally over as residents move into Syracuse’s brand-new apartment complex, The Coda.
“The two-day delayed opening allows for final inspections of the apartment rooms and ensures that the amenities work,” according to Coda Representative John Hoover.
The Coda has 282 rented apartments, mainly studio and one-bedroom units. The apartments are fully furnished with a kitchen, island counter, coffee table, and a queen-size bed, added Hoover.
“A lot of college students are moving into The Coda because of the location of Syracuse University and SUNY Upstate Medical University,” said Hoover.
Syracuse graduate students Jake Lazarus and Patrick Scanlon believe it was worth the wait moving in after the expected opening date.
“The Coda offered $750 to delay our move-in from Aug. 1 to Aug. 3, and obviously, I’m gonna hop all over $750, and it’ll definitely help with some food and whatever other stuff I have going on in the fall. My room is in all good condition,” said Lazarus.
“The atmosphere is buzzing, people were going a little wild, people were excited to finally move in, and then I think when people moved in on Saturday, lot of smiles, lot of friendly faces, good staff, good people, so I am excited to live here,” added Scanlon.
The Coda has many great amenities, such as a pool, a hot tub, and a courtyard with a fireplace.
