HILARY FENNER, THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF SKANEATELES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DISCUSSES THE UPCOMING EVENT.
HILARY FENNER: This has been our thirtieth year is what we are celebrating this year for the boat show. We are at forty six years all together. And so thirty years ago they decided that Skaneateles was a central location in the Finger Lakes.
RYAN CUDDY REPORTER: WITH A GREAT LOCATION AND A TERRIFIC EVENT BEING PUT ON, IT MAKES FOR THOUSANDS OF VISITORS.
HILARY FENNER: Any given year we usually expect to see about ten thousand people who come for the show. Now the shows over three days so that is spread out.
RYAN CUDDY REPORTER: THE SHOW IS READY FOR A GREAT EVENT WITH EVERY BOAT ABLE TO BE JUDGED IN A VARIETY OF COMPETITIONS.
HILARY FENNER: There’s a whole list of different categories that the boats can be judged in along with some information on what makes it an antique boat and what makes it a classic.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — Rev up those boat engines, the Finger Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show is returning for the 46th year, and the 30th consecutive year it will be hosted in Skaneateles.
Classic boats will be hitting the water, and the land in Clift Park coming up from July 26th to July 28th. Even if boats aren’t water ready, Hilary Fenner, the executive director of Skaneateles Chambers of Commerce, says that there are spots on land “for those boat owners who want to show it off.”
With only just a week left to register, there is set to be upwards of 70 boats either in the water or on land.
Fenner takes pride in the team aspect in setting up the event, mentioning how flexible and eager to adapt her team was during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The number of visitors and boats that are registered for the event have stayed consistent even after the pandemic.
Fenner is estimating about 10,000 visitors for the show over the three-day event with Saturday being the most popular day because of the events scheduled and the boat parade.
Fenner and her team are looking forward to seeing all their hard work come to fruition.
