0:00 (Tilmont)-STUDENTS LOOKING TO GET A WORKOUT AT THE BARNES CENTER WERE MET WITH A LOCK DOOR TUESDAY. THE SPACE PRIOR TO THE SHUT DOWN HAD RESTRICTED CAPACITY, AND AS A RESULT OF THOSE RESTRICTIONS, SU JUNIORS LUKE LEONARD AND NICK SAWYER DECIDED TO GET CREATIVE WITH THEIR WORKOUT.
0:13 (Leonard)-It was mostly Nick because he was the one that went online and found like an old and used rack and equipment.
0:21 (Tilmont)- SAWYER SAYS HE GOT THE IDEA AFTER SEEING HOW MUCH SPACE HE WOULD HAVE IN THE APARTMENT AND ALSO THE STRESS OF SCHEUDLING A RESERVATION.

“It was mostly Nick’s [idea], he’s the one who went online and found a used rack and equipment,” Leonard said.
That idea was an at home gym in their apartment. Sawyer got the idea after seeing how much room they would have, after one of the roommates supposed to be living their decided to stay at home for the semester.
“It was also convenience for me,” Sawyer said. “My days never really look like each other, so just being able to get a quick workout at night or early in the the morning it is definitely really convenient.”
Sawyer also said the ability to have a bench that can convert into a squat rack was helpful.
“The ability for me to get both the compound lifts that I do really helps my ability to get a full workout in,” he said.
