SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — A Syracuse University Women’s Ice Hockey player has received 2023-24 All-College Hockey America First Team honors, the University announced on Thursday.

Defenseman Rachel Teslak earned the end-of-season award after winning CHA Defenseman of the Week three times. Teslak joined SU for her fifth collegiate season after playing four years at St. Lawrence.

The British Columbia, Canada native earned the award after an impressive season. She had 22 total points, including eight goals and 14 assists, in 30 games. Teslak was Orange’s second-leading scorer and finished third in scoring among defensemen in the CHA.

During her collegiate career, Teslak had 57 points, including 20 goals and 37 assists, in 138 games played.

SU’s Women’s Ice Hockey team finished the season 7-24-3.
