SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – This past weekend the Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival celebrated its 53rd year.

Art enthusiasts and avid shoppers from all over flocked to this three-day event showcasing local artists and craftspeople. The creativity on display highlighted the thriving arts community in Syracuse.

Local potter Jamie Noce says, “My favorite part is definitely interacting with new people, whether they be customers or they’re just looking.”

The festival offered an array of activities and attractions, ensuring there was something for everyone.

Visitors could admire and purchase a wide variety of crafts, including fabric, fiber, and leather works, as well as ceramics and glass pieces. All this happened while the popular Chalk Jam sidewalk art competition and other family-friendly art activities were taking place.

Food vendors added to the festive atmosphere, providing entrees and sweet treats.

Noce says, “Without those people, our small businesses wouldn’t thrive as much as others would think that they do.”

The 2024 Syracuse Arts and Crafts Festival not only celebrated local artistry but also reinforced the city’s commitment to fostering a dynamic cultural scene.
