SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – Expect the Dome to be rocking on Saturday. That’s right, the rivalry continues! Duke is coming to the dome this Saturday, seeking revenge after the Orange handed them a shocking overtime loss at Cameron Indoor in January. However, this game isn’t just exciting, it’s historic. The game is sold out, and is going to break the record for attendance at an on-campus basketball game. 35, 454 fans are expected to pack the dome, and safe to say, both fans and stadium workers are excited.
“It’s gonna be a blast,” Syracuse Freshman [You don’t need to capitalize freshman] Nick Hoffis says. “I’m hopefully gonna get a good seat, but I can’t even imagine how many people are gonna be there, how loud it’s gonna be, and being one of the most attended games, even at our campus is such an exciting experience to be a part of.”
“Where I sit, the view I have, I can really see the entire Carrier Dome,” says Jason Herman, an intern for the Syracuse Athletics Communications Department. “I can look up, and it’s really special to see not an empty seat and see the community come and support the Orange like that. It makes me feel like the job I’m doing is important because so many people care about the team.”
Even though the game is still sold out, there is still a chance to get tickets. Syracuse Athletics is giving away 500 free tickets to students at the Women’s Basketball game against Pitt on Thursday night.
