Brady Williams: A major motion picture will be filming in Syracuse this August, and the recent casting call has local movie fans excited. One woman appreciates what the film could do for the city’s reputation.
Syracuse Resident 1: I think it could bring positive exposure to the city.
BW: However, not everyone is interested in giving up their time to be a part of the movie.
Syracuse Resident 2: No, not really. I’m actually like really busy.
BW: But some are easily swayed by the average payment of 170 dollars per day on set.
Syracuse Resident 1: I would help out. Definitely.
BW: There is no word on the topic of the movie yet, but the casting call is a larger filming project than any other in Syracuse history. Brady Williams SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – A casting call for 2,000 extras for a movie being filmed in the Syracuse area has some Central New York fans excited. The call comes from a news release by casting director Annie Delano.
The specifics of the film are unknown at this point, but some Syracuse residents are intrigued by the average payments of 170 dollars per day of filming. When told about the offer, one previously reluctant woman quickly said, “I would help out. Definitely.”
Regardless of her involvement, she said the movie could be an opportunity to improve Syracuse’s image and that, “I think it could bring positive exposure to the city.”
The call, which has been sent out by the company AND Casting by Annie Delano, is welcoming any and all individuals that are over the age of 18. The massive shoot is claiming to be the largest Hollywood production ever held in the area.
