ORLAND PARK, ILL. (NCC NEWS)– Orland Park Health and Fitness recently reopened amid the pandemic.
Personal trainer Zoe Ruff says it was a tough decision for the gym to make.
Ruff shares that she is surprised by the number of guidelines put in place. Members are asked to wear a mask during training sessions, social distance, and sanitize equipment.
Masks at the fitness center are not required but highly encouraged. Ruff notes that the majority of her clients choose not to wear masks.
“So if I’m not working, if I’m doing personal training with someone I can require them to wear a mask for my personal preference. But other than that they are required to,” said Ruff.
Ruff thinks that the pandemic is increasing client’s standards when it comes to cleanliness.
“You know we are just going to have to clean, we’re going to start painting and kind of redoing things for the facility,” said Ruff.
Overall, Ruff expresses that the gym is less crowded than before COVID-19.
The fitness center is confident that all of the members will be safe at the gym by following guidelines enforced by staff.
Zoe Ruff along with the staff at Orland Park Health and Fitness is looking forward to welcoming back more members in the coming weeks.
