THE ASSAILANT RAN OFF WHEN THE ALARM STARTED SCREECHING, ATTRACTING PEOPLE TO HELP. GRAY SAYS PEOPLE OF AGES CAN PURCHASE THE ALARMS FROM THEIR WEBSITE.

Guya Scopas Bethuel SYRACUSE, NY  (NCC News) – Safe Sound Alarm reports it has seen significant success in the fight against attacks from unknown assailants.

The company developed a device that looks like a key holder. It is known as the Safe Personal Alarm. Because it is easy to activate, the personal alarm can keep the elderly safe . They can use it to thwart off  potential muggers and robbers. 

Police agencies are supporting the use of this safety device. 

Michael Gray, Safe Sound Alarm customer representative, said they have received many success stories from people who bought the device for safety purposes.

“We have a current success rate of 85 %. That means that it’s very significant for guys above 60 to use the personal alarm because it makes them feel more secure.”, said Gray.

Gray said the device can be purchased on their website by people of all ages.

This device is capable of creating a 125 DB sound that attracts attention and scares away potential assailants.

In July, a 60 -year -old woman, Ruth Miller, saved herself from an attack when she pulled the pin of her safe personal alarm at a grocery store in Syracuse.  The assailant ran off when the alarm started screeching, attracting people to help.
