Vacant Home in Syracuse Catches Fire Vacant Home Fire on South Geddes Street

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News)  – The Syracuse fire department responded to a vacant home on South Geddes Street around 8:20 A.M. on Sunday, November 5.

The fire took roughly 30 minutes for firefighters to put out, and crews were on-scene for more than two hours to clear smoke from the home.

According to the Syracuse fire department, the flames resulted in extensive fire damage on the building’s second floor, as well as smoke and water damage throughout the rest of the home.

Firefighters say there were no injuries resulting from the incident.
