Vera House intents to release its annual report on Wednesday

By Jonathon Hoppe SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – The Vera House will hold its annual public forum on Wednesday evening. During the event, held at the Everson Museum of Art, community members will give presentations.

“Our project coordinator is going to talk about all the amazing work he’s doing in the community to really invite men into sharing way in which they can get involved to help end domestic and sexual violence in our community,” said Chris Benton, Vera House Communications and Marketing Director.

The event is free to attend and the Vera House will provide child care to those that choose to bring their children. The Vera House, founded in 1977, is a program that prevents, responds to and partners to end sexual violence.

The Vera House releases a new sexual violence report each fall, providing statistics and telling the stories of local survivors.
