Onondaga County Executive, Ryan McMahon and officials from Micron held their second town meeting to discus investments and jobs Micron plans to bring. Chief People Officer, April Arnzen says she wants to keep it local when Micron comes.
April Arnzen:
“We will pull all the resources we have, again we do have a foundation and philanthropic efforts that we can invest in the schools as well, so whatever the system barriers are, we’ll partner with you to find solutions. Absolutely.”
Weiss:
CNY native, Hughie Stone Fish made it big in in the music industry, winning an Emmy and is now looping back to his home with his non-profit to help the local community with art programs.
Hughie Stone Fish:
“I’d like to build a Syracuse choir as well for high schoolers there. We’d like to be able to expand our programs. We’d like to be able to help local artists in Syracuse find teaching as a platform for them.”
Weiss:
Stone Fish plans to visit Syracuse in the coming weeks once his new solo album is released. For NCC News, I’m Aylee Weiss reporting. You can find full stories on our website, NCCNews.online.com.
